The ACE Advisory Committee came together on March 1st 2019 to visit our pilot schools and to celebrate the kick off for the ACE program with all our partners. We are most grateful for Food and Finance High School for making such an eventful night possible.
Dr. Leak presented her research work titled “Public Health Interventions that Address Disparities in Adolescent Dietary Behaviors and Poor Health Outcomes for faculty and members of Weill Cornell General Internal Medicine Department. The event was co-hosted by the Cornell Center for Health Equity
On November 12th, Dr. Leak presented her poster titled “Exploring Low-Income Caregivers Intentions to Prepare Whole Grain Foods for Prediabetic Children” (Leak T., Gangrade N., Tester J. 2018) at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Expo at San Diego, CA.

Dr. Leak and the NS 1600 teaching team was delighted to have Frank Kruppa, Public Health Director of Tompkins County guest lecture in “Introduction to Public Health”.
